Not fussy about snow crystal type or snowpack age. If the snow is humid or damp and the air temperature is between +7 and -3, speed will result.
Buffing or brushing might improve the performance, but since the advantage is minimal this is also worth trying on Zero skis, and an anti-ice finish on klister.
