Vauhti Pure Race Old Snow Sticks

$37.00

Let's get right to it.

We love these grip waxes.

They're much in the same category as the increasingly popular factory pre-mixes of klister and hard wax. Except we're not sure that there's klister in them.

No matter.

They're fast, tough, and provide remarkable kick in a wide range of conditions. It is only when snow is falling that we won't consider them. For the most part they work best by themselves (no cover needed) in snow that is hard, old or man-made. The snow can be fine grained or coarse, dry to wet, hard or breaking up. In fine grained snow with hard tracks or glaze they are best as a cushioning layer under a speed coat.

These tend to be easier to apply compared to other klister/hard wax pre-mixes.

Best results when Vauhti Base Super or KS Base klister is used as a binder.

Blue for -5°...-20°C

LDR for 0°...-10°C

Silver for 1°...-4°C

Red for 3°...-1°C

If you want to test just one, go with the LDR. We use this one a lot.

Despite the designation for use on old snow, in new snow that is variable and/or glazed, these can be fantastic as a cushion layer under a new snow specific top layer. The boost in grip can be appreciable.
