Toko Structurite Nordic with Red Rollers
Toko made a significant upgrade from their older Structurite tool.
Using a more updated pattern - not as deep as the old tool to reduce contamination from dirty snow, and a broad use range for each pattern.
The rollers now have bearing attached to help reduce the dreaded lock up and subsequent deep linear cut that the old tool was prone to.
The included Red Right and Left rollers have a recommended use range from -4° → -12°C (25° → 10°F). Yellow and Blue rollers are available separately to expand the use range.
Using the Right and Left rollers creates a cross-hatch type pattern. We find that this is most often better for skate skis, and in packed snow conditions.
Not noted by Toko, but it is possible to use just one roller (place in the rearward position). This produces a cross-linear pattern which is often a very safe choice in fresh snow, and good on classic skis as well. For those who relate to the old CP-17 tool, this would be similar.
