Swix HS Liquid Glide Wax - 125ml
Competitive and easy to use.
For ease of use these are fast and durable if allowed to dry for a long time. For competition use it is important to note that these liquids often perform differently than their hot wax equivalents - as a broad statement the liquids can be faster in older snow and the solid versions better in new fine grained snow. And if using hand structure tools a final coat of liquid wax can make a positive difference.
Regarding the use after a hand structure is used, this is where roto-fleecing can assist. But if not using hand structure the best application is to apply, let dry for as long as possible and then finish with a nylon brush.
HS6 Blue, -4C/-12C. Interesting that for the liquid version Swix claims a warmer upper limit. Not sure if we agree with this, at least in our humid snow. That said, this is a very good mid-winter glide wax.
HS7 Violet, -2C/-8C. Reliable in both old or new snow. Brush well in new snow!
HS8 Red, 4C/-4C. In very wet conditions this one can be applied and skied on before a full drying.
HS10 Yellow, 2C/10C. Being a bit harder than some other wet snow waxes, this tends to be a little more durable in dirty snow.
