Start World Cup Klisters
Start makes some amazing klisters in their regular lineup. The World Cup klisters are reformulated and boosted performance variation, or in some cases pre-mixes of existing klisters.
3300 Special. The standard Start Special is one of those unusual klisters that work well in fine-grained snow, especially around the dreaded zero conditions. Harder and more elastic, World Cup Special can be both faster and have more grip than the standard Special.
4436 Wide Super. The usual choice for Start Universal klisters is to go with Universal Wide for colder or more fine grained snow, and Universal Plus for coarse, wet and more loose conditions. Uni Wide is still one to beat, but if Uni Plus seems to be the better choice, 4436 Wide Super will absolutely beat it in a race situation.
MNFW Red/Yellow Premix. MNFW Red and Yellow are fantastic klisters for very coarse old snow that can resist icing up in the presence of some newer snow, with Red best in colder/harder and Yellow in warmer/wetter conditions. The mix of the two provides an outstanding range when the conditions are variable.
RCR50 is a modified version of Universal wide intended for high humidity, glazing tracks and artificial snow from 20F up to 38F. A popular combination by the Start racing service is to apply RCR50 and cover with a thin layer of Oslo Violet for artificial snow 20F-38F. For application, you want to rub in your klister and let sit on the bench until room temperature. Then apply Oslo violet in 2 layers and finish with a single pass on both sides of the groove with your thumb, mixing the klister and Oslo a little
