Fischer describes the 61K as a design optimized for soft conditions. When measurements are compared to a standard 610, the differences are not only small, but given the normal pair-to-pair variation there can even be overlap.

Is the bridge shorter? On average, yes, but so small that variation overlap is significant. Are the contact zones shorter? Yes, but small enough that variation overlap still exists…just less so. Is the the tip splay more pronounced? Yes, but…

These differences are small but they do add up. And indeed, the 61K can outperform a regular 610 in soft and/or wet condtions. The downside is that there is less overall stability in harder track conditions.

That being said, many skiers feel the 61K has a response to acceleration that makes it a great choice for sprint racing.

Most of the skiers we have fit with the 61K remark that it is their favorite ski to be on in (almost) any condition.

The Helium construction has an overall weight and swing weight that is noticeably less than the Speedmax 90.
